I think the debate is healthy. One angle that was missed here is that a governments actions seldom reflect the wishes of its people. Especially in the Middle East. So to say that Iran, China, or Turkey , ‘for a few examples’, will not act in a certain way because of their diverse populations is not correct. Those countries are run by Dictators who do what they please without a healthy public debate about what should be done.

Not that the corrupt Western governments are much better, but there is at least a thin veneer of openness and debate. JohnBarleycorn

Where was the big concern after 2008 when millions of Americans lost their jobs, homes, pension funds, and hope? Just saying. Don’t remember Wray making a public statement about us hurting, when we pay their wages. by the way Congress was paid during this shutdown and Trump does not take a salary from taxpayers.
