Some profound thinking here. Some artists, just like people are just lazy. They expect success to just happen because they are creative. That is not the way it works. It takes endless effort, sweat, tears, loss of sleep, and too much more to list.

His paintings were often described as being too dark and lacking the bright liveliness of the Impressionist paintings of the time. He produced more than 900 works during his lifetime, but only sold one painting, Red Vineyard at Arles.
