Do you know if the different shooters in schools have anything in common, like no father or something else? because banning assault rifles to end massacres isn’t going to solve the problem. There’s something else. Maybe employers shouldn’t hire fathers who aren’t in their sons’ lives. I have the feeling those shooters don’t know how adult men deal with anger, and a mother can’t teach a boy how to be a man.
Also, if the govt bans assault rifles, the govt will still have them and might use them to kill way more Americans than some nut kid in a school. I don’t own a gun, but I want my neighbors to have their guns if they want them, just in case of civil war or our govt killing Americans in large numbers as they did in the past. The founding fathers couldn’t have seen the school shooting problem we have today. they put the right to bear arms in so Americans could defend themselves against each other, but mainly so we can defend ourselves against our govt. which is the bigger danger.

I agree with your train of thought on this topic. Banning guns is not the answer. So many other factors are involved here to blame guns.
