Before the tax bill, people in high tax states and municipalities, could write off local and state taxation on their federal taxes. Which meant that their state and local government services were subsidized by all federal taxpayers. Talk about subsidizing the rich.

Now those state and local governments are looking to raise taxes to cover the difference. No mention of shrinking government was in the works. I say pay for your own costs and benefits and we will find out how altruistic these state and local taxpayers really are. Look for an exodus from these areas in the near future, as people tend to vote with their feet and pocketbooks.
