A federal appeals court ruled that the NSA’s wholesale collection of Americans’ phone and Internet communications is not authorized by the Patriot Act. Even if the Supreme Court rules the widespread data collection program unconstitutional, it still might not end. For one, it’s because the Constitution has never been clear on the limits of presidential power in times of war and also, Obama has violated the U.S. Constitution so many times, what difference does, at this point, does it make?
The Obama administration violated the injunction imposed on Obamnesty by Federal Judge Andrew Hanen. Jeh Johnson and the Department of Homeland Insecurity had given out thousands of Social Security numbers and work permits in direct violation of the injunction. Injunctions are not optional or suggestions and now Obama claims it was an accident. Yeah right!
