Love vs Like

As Christians we are charged to love others as we love ourselves. We are all created by God. This does not mean we should like bad or immoral things people do. Love the sinner hate the sin. We should not use God’s commandments to enable bad or immoral behaviors by our fellow humans.

I love you all, but that does not mean that I like you at this point in time. We should judge others by their actions, and at the same time realize we are all sinners. Nobody is above God’s law. So do not conflate sinful behavior with God’s commandment to love

My bottom line here is do not enable bad behavior, do not condone, violence, hatred, or any sinful behavior. Do not look the other way when you encounter sin, call it out and tell the truth at any cost like John the Baptist. Silence is complicity.
