Protesters Who Do Not Know What They Are Protesting Against | Armstrong Economics

I myself encountered a woman who had protested against Trump in the big march in Washington after he was elected. I was curious to listen to her reasoning as to why she had traveled to Washington to protest against Trump. She said she did so because no man was going to tell her what to do with her body. When I asked what was it that Trump was going to do, she said outlaw abortion. When I said no president can do that since it was already decided by the Supreme Court. I said the only thing ANY politician can argue for or against is funding for government paid abortions. Her response was that I was a misinformed trump supporter and wrong. I saw no point in continuing the conversation. You cannot teach someone anything who is incapable of actually listening objectively to anything no less understand the actual political system in which we live. Then this video is going around which shows again people protesting against Trump who cannot actually explain what human rights he has deprived them of. It just seems as though we have a lot of people protesting like mindless drones who are told something and are no capable of understanding what it is that they are even protesting against. To think this will become more violent after November is just dumbfounding in itself.

The SEC and Crypto

The SEC Opens Line of Communication - Fintech, Crypto

The cryptocurrency and blockchain startup world has just received another foundation of legitimacy as the US Securities and Exchange Commission or the SEC, has set up a new office to engage startups in this ecosystem. This announcement on Thursday, 18 of October, is part of a division called the Strategic Hub for Innovation and Financial Technology (FinHub) which allows startups in Fintech to interact with the regulator regarding legal implications of products before they are launched. In our view at Classiarius, this is positive as it shows a slow but clear acceptance of the world of blockchain and related industries. Yes, they are going mainstream.

In the past 12 months, there have been a number of high profile cases in which bogus cryptocurrencies have suggested or even stated outright that they are approved by the SEC – when in fact they were not. This new body gives serious startups a place to engage and of course check all the boxes to ensure that all legal expectations are met. In short, the SEC is educating entrepreneurs through an entity that is trusted and respected.

At one point, as many as 80 percent of the total number of coins, overt 2,000 were considered questionable and in some way broke rules – a large portion being outright fakes. Now that the SEC and Japanese FSA here in Tokyo are stepping up, this new industry has a more secure future and investors in the end, will warm up again to crypto and blockchain ICOs.

“Entitlement Reform”

Social Security was meant to be a retirement income for Americans who paid into it. It was and is mandatory for working people to pay into. Not long after that, it became a catch all disability benefit for anyone claiming disability.

We are now in a situation where there are more taking money out of Social Security than we have paying into it. Some politicians are wanting to change entitlement funding. We have the same problem with the federal budget to the tune of 22 trillion dollars of debt.

Years back, the passed a tax on Social Security income, which seems like a tax on a tax to me. Then the government fell behind inflation in figuring yearly raises. It is to the point where you can not retire comfortably on a Social Security benefit.

My idea of change would be to seperate those who have paid into it from those who have not, by setting up a seperate program for those who have not paid in. This would bring fairness to those who have given their hard earned wages to the government in hopes of a basic retirement income. Roll back the taxes on the tax.

In the end, the federal government is too big and bloated. If you drive around the DC metropolitan area, it is saturated with federal buildings, installations, lobbyists, special intrest groups, and others who live off of our tax dollars. I might add, they are living quite well judging from the cars they drive and the houses they own.

Before politicians ask one American to pay one more dollar in taxes, they should be forced to balance the budget and start paying down the debt. “It is easy to be generous with other people’s money.”

The End of Britain with 2nd Referendum on BREXIT? | Armstrong Economics

As many as 670,000 people protested in London to call for a second Brexit referendum. Our computer is showing that a second referendum will vote to remain but this is most likely because they will rig the vote. This is in conflict with our economic model which shows that BREXIT should still win. Keep in mind that we have crossed the Rubicon in politics here in 2018. The chances of any election actually being honest and fair is highly unlikely. Of course, these people are just brainwashed. They are completely ignorant of the fact that remaining in the EU will be the death of Britain. They listen to the likes of Tony Blair and other politicians who get huge pensions from the EU. These protesters are really too stupid to understand what they are protesting for and they are just pawns in a game for corrupt politicians. The economic growth of Britain has steadily declined ever since joining the EU. We have provided this chart to the British press and politicians but not a single person has made this chart public. But worse still, Britain is resented in the EU because without Britain Europe would have been lost to both Hitler as well as Napoleon. Without Britain, Europe would never be free. Many resent that they owe everything to Britain. All the history aside, any trade deal can only be subjected to a veto of 28 member states. Britain cannot reach a trade deal on its own terms with anyone for they can be stopped by the raising of just one hand. Britain will also see its financial market destroyed for Brussels wants to be able to outlaw short-selling to protect the Euro by decree when the free markets go against them. On top of that, the ECB has destroyed the European bond market and that is just starting to bubble to the surface as rates are rising in Southern Europe. On top of that, Britain loses just about every court ruling in the European Court. And as for migrants, the number one name in Britain among newborns has been Muhammed. The British pound had really been just a unit-of-account prior to 1489. It was literally one pound of “sterling” silver .925 fine. The first one-pound coin appeared in gold and was issued in 1489 by Henry VII. The risk that the British pound will no longer exit arrives in 2029.
