Which wars are just?

Right now, we have a huge armada of military assets off the shore of Iran. Iran brutalizes its own citizens and sponsors terrorism in the Mideast and elsewhere. Why are we not sending a larger detachment to Nigeria to stop a genocide in that country? Credit to Trump for sending anyone to help, unlike Biden and the Democrats.

The reaction is very disproportionate to the threat in both deployments. Why should we care more about people in the Middle East than we do in Africa? The Elephant in the room would conclude that we are biased in our collective outrage against murderous world actors.

With a 39 trillion dollar debt, we need to take a second look at being the world’s policeman. There are cheaper and more effective ways to deal with bad actors, and right now we have plenty of them at home committing fraud, bribery, and outright theft of taxpayer funds. The Epstein criminals need some scrutiny and punishment, too. We need to take a second look at how we use our borrowed money and where we spend it.
