The local police are under attack by some of the same politicians who passed the laws that they enforce. Not sure about you, but I see some duplicity here.

The solution will be a federal police force for the entire nation, all of this is planned so the federal government will step in and save the day. Just like they did after 9-11. They saved us by giving the federal government more power over us with ICE, DHS, and TSA. Let’s not forget the Patriot Act and the FISA courts. How has all of that worked out for us? Less freedom and more government, and more debt/taxes.
