While talking about all of this with a family member we came up with a game changer.
What if during a crisis such as this, the Congress would be required to send a clean bill to the President for aid to the victims of the crisis? No pork, no funding for pet projects or constituents. Only direct help to those affected.
Sounds like a no brainer to me, but I don’t live within the beltway bubble anymore.
