The countries who immediately closed their borders to travel from heavily infected countries are doing much better than countries who did not. The lesson here is take care of your own first and then help others.
This decision to dither on closing borders has had deadly effects on the citizenry. The very people politicians and leaders take an oath to protect.
I hope that some constructive lessons can be learned here, but I have my doubts.
