The love affair with Millennials and Socialism is not only from a lack of understanding history, basic economics, and critical thinking skills. It stems from a lack of understanding what is right before their eyes. Venezuela, North Korea, Cuba, and most of South America come to mind.

Sad thing is that we are not true capitalists here in America. We are crony capitalists, which is not much better than Socialism in many ways. The politicians here micromanage the economy by picking winners and losers, making our economy very top heavy. Those who give large donations to politicians get nice returns on their investments. While the working class pays half of what they earn to the government. The middle class is being thrown under the bus by noisy special interest groups, race baiters, hate mongers, and corrupt politicians.
