It looks like we have a divided legislative branch of our government. Not much different than before except the partisans from the Democratic party will now be posturing in front of cameras, instead of the Republicans.
They better have an agenda to move America forward or they will be out of power in two more years. Get Trump at any cost will not bode well for them. When the Republicans went after Clinton non stop, it backfired on them. Those who refuse to learn from history…..
If all they do is go after Trump for the next two years, they will get another Trump term for their efforts. Their governance and choice of candidates for the previous eight years created the Trump presidency, and now Democrats may be repeating the same mistakes.
Americans are not in favor of open borders, illegal immigration, or more free stuff from the government. They know we are already 22 trillion dollars in debt. The government needs to get smaller and do less, not tax the few remaining taxpayers into poverty. The working class taxpayers have taken it on the chin to the point where the middle class is disappearing.
Without a strong and vibrant middle class, the American dream is nothing more than an illusion rather than a dream. We are already watching that play out in the 1% getting richer as the rest of us get poorer.
The big government solution advocates miss the important fact that the government does not and cannot create wealth, they can only redistribute it. How is that working out for us so far?
