The Nicaragua Canal: A dream come true?

When Chinese business tycoon Wang Jing first arrived in Nicaragua, there was little to no information in the media about him. The secrecy behind his persona awoke a wave of speculation that made a lot of people feel uneasy about his mysterious character. However, out of nowhere, his name as well the name of HKND group –one of Jing’s companies- , became known to the world almost overnight. His sudden notoriety was owed to the news of a major investment, a $50 Billion Canal that would be built across Nicaragua and that would rival the existing Panama Canal.
